Healthcare worker dies getting Pfizer vaccine

Two days after the administration of Pfizer corona virus jab, a Portuguese health worker 'suddenly died' at home on New Year's Day.

Sonia Acevedo, a 41-year-old woman who worked in pediatrics at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Porto, had posted a picture of herself after being shot on Facebook.

Acevedo's daughter Vania Figueredo said her mother only complained of 'normal' discomfort in the area where she was happy but not feeling well.

The deceased's father, Abilo Acevedo, told the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha: "She was OK. She had no health problems."

"He had a Covid-19 vaccine but had no symptoms. I don't know what happened. I just want answers."

Acevedo's employers confirmed that he had received the vaccine on December 30 and said they had not been notified of the "undesirable side effects".

The Portuguese Institute of Oncology said in a statement: "Regarding the sudden death of a Porto IPO assistant on January 1, 2021, the Board of Directors confirms the event and expresses sincere regret to family and friends for sure that this loss is also felt here."

The statement went on to say, "The explanation for the cause of death will follow a general procedure in these cases."

Acevedo was one of 538 employees at Porto IPO who received the jab iPfizer / BioNTech.

The Portuguese Department of Health has been notified.
