Origin and History of Pecan Pie
The Pecans originated in the southern United States. Archaeological evidence from Texas indicates that Native Americans used pecans more than 8,000 years ago: 326 The name pecan is derived from the name Algonquin, pakani, which refers to several nuts.
Sugar pies such as treacle tart were proven in Central Europe, and were modified in North America with the ingredients available, which led to dishes such as sharp pie, sugar, butter and chess pie.
Pecan pie can be a type of chess pie, made with the same butter-sugar-egg custard.
Some say the French invented the pecan pie shortly after settling in New Orleans, after being introduced to pecan nut by the Native American Quinipissa and the Tangipahoa tribe.
The claims were made on a pecan pea that existed in the early 1800's in Alabama, but this does not seem to be supported by recipes or books. congressional club cookbook has a pie recipe that uses only eggs, milk, sugar and pecan, no syrup.
The pecan pie became an integral part of South American culture in the 1940's and 1950's.

Important points to remember while making pecan pie
There are three rules of pie.
- The Pecan pie must have a crust. It can have a top cover, a bottom cover, a top and bottom cover, or a bottom with a metal cover. The lump should be made of fat, flour and water. Puff cake is welcome with the addition of Pot Pie and Phyllo Spanakoka coated with pie. They are no different than the old Apple Pie.
- The Pecan pie should be baked in a pan and follow its shape. A delicious pie baked without a pan is a galette. The galette is not a pie. Crumbles, Crisps, and Brown Betties are baked in a pan, but no crust, just topping. They are not pies. A delicious pie baked without a pan is pizza. The deep-fried pizzas are a delicacy. New York Pizzas are pizza. Anyone who says Chicago Pizza is better than NY Pizza is making a 100% mistake because Chicago Pizza is not a pizza, it is a pie.
- The Pecan pie should have a filling. Pie filling can be almost anything. It can be delicious, nutritious, custard, pudding, quiche, fruit, nuts in custard, whatever you like. I once saw a pie with a layer of chocolate chip cookies baked in it. It was a pie. So, even if your mind fills the crust baked in the pan, it makes a pie
